What this site is

Delete Anything publishes step-by-step guides for closing accounts on major platforms. It is written and checked by one person. It is not owned by, affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any platform described here, and no platform reviews or approves what is written about it.

The guides are instructions, not guarantees

Dated guides record a source review; they do not claim every signed-in screen was personally tested. That date is a promise about when it was checked, not a promise that it still works today. Platforms redesign their settings, move deletion behind new menus, change grace periods and occasionally remove self-service deletion altogether — usually without announcing it.

So: follow the steps at your own discretion, and read what is on your screen rather than assuming it matches the screenshot in your head. If a guide has gone stale, telling us is the most useful thing you can do.

Deletion is permanent, and it is your decision

Closing an account usually destroys data that cannot be recovered — messages, photos, purchase history, subscriptions, and sometimes access to things you paid for. Several platforms tie unrelated services to the same account. We describe what we know, but we cannot see your account and we are not responsible for what you lose.

Save anything you want to keep before you start. The data rescue checklist exists for exactly this.

This is not legal advice

Some guides mention rights under GDPR, CCPA and similar laws. That is general information, written by someone who is not a lawyer. If you need a legal answer about your own situation — a refund, a dispute, a data request that has been refused — talk to someone qualified in your jurisdiction.

Links to other sites

Guides link out to platforms' own help pages, settings screens and privacy tools. Those pages belong to their owners. We have no control over what they say or where they lead next, and linking to them is not an endorsement.

Advertising

Pages carry advertising, which is what pays for the site. Adverts are served by third parties and their content is not chosen, written or vetted by us. An advert appearing next to a guide is not a recommendation. What data those providers collect is covered in the privacy policy.

Using what is written here

The text of these guides is ours. Quote it, link to it, send it to someone who needs it. Do not republish whole guides as your own — there are already enough sites that scraped somebody else's deletion instructions and left them to rot. Platform names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify what a guide is about.

No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you

This site is provided as it is, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from following, or failing to follow, anything published here. If a court decides some part of that cannot stand, the rest still applies.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current version.
