How do I delete my Shein account?

In the app or on the site, go to My Account, then Account Security, then Delete Account. Self-service deletion is only offered in the EU, UK and USA — elsewhere you have to ask SHEIN support directly.

Wait until every order has arrived and every return is settled. SHEIN will not delete an account that has incomplete or post-sale orders, or any ongoing process, on it. Beyond the block, deleting mid-return means losing the refund — with no account there is no order to reference and no way to chase it.

Before you delete

SHEIN requires all of the following before it will process the deletion:

And for your own sake, before you start:

Delete your account

  1. Open My Account.
  2. Go to Account Security.
  3. Choose Delete Account and follow the verification.

Outside the EU, UK or USA there is no self-service route. SHEIN offers the steps above to consumers in those regions only. Anywhere else you have to contact SHEIN customer support and give them a reason for the request.

Deletion is permanent. SHEIN says everything in the account is deleted forever and may not be recovered, and that you will not be able to use the account to browse or buy.

The wallet is a trap with two sides

SHEIN refunds to wallet credit by default in many cases, and that credit then blocks deletion — you cannot leave while holding a balance, and the balance cannot be cashed out.

So a refund can quietly commit you to another purchase. The money comes back as store credit, the credit stops you closing the account, and spending it means buying something else from the company you were trying to leave.

Ways out, in order of preference:

Points and coupons are a different matter — SHEIN's terms say they cannot be redeemed for cash, so those are a use-them-or-lose-them proposition rather than a blocker.

If you are outside the EU, UK or USA

The self-service button simply is not offered, and that is a legal geography rather than a technical one: the regions with a deletion route are the regions with laws requiring one.

Asking support is the only path, and it goes better with a specific request:

  1. Say plainly that you are requesting deletion of your account and personal data, rather than asking how to do it.
  2. Confirm the account email or phone the request applies to.
  3. Clear the blockers first — no open orders, no wallet balance — so there is nothing for support to bounce it back on.
  4. Ask for written confirmation when it is done, and keep it.

If deletion is refused or ignored, the fallback is to empty the account rather than close it. Remove saved addresses, delete payment methods, change the name on the profile to nothing meaningful, and unsubscribe from everything. It is not deletion, and it does reduce what is held and what can leak.

Common questions

What happens to my Shein wallet balance and points?

A wallet balance blocks deletion until you empty it. Promotional points, coupons and credit cannot be cashed out, and you lose the ability to use them once the account is gone.

Why can I not delete my Shein account?

Either you have an incomplete or post-sale order, money left in your wallet, or another process running — or you are outside the EU, UK and USA, where the self-service option is not offered. Contact SHEIN support in that case.
